This was our 3rd time staying in Gator Den at Black Hammock. This is pretty close to one of our children which also makes it convenient. The house has plenty of room and a large kitchen. The management is very responsive and professional if you ever need to get in touch with them. We really enjoy staying there. We had a great meal at the Black Hammock Restaurant during our first visit and also enjoyed an airboat ride. We weren’t able to eat there during our 2nd visit due to extenuating circumstances but I was able to get a quick meal there this time prior to leaving. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a quite and peaceful place to get away for awhile.

This was our second time staying in the Gator Den and we thoroughly enjoyed it. There is plenty of room to spread out and still be able to visit with others. When we stayed in November it was rather cool out so we weren’t able to see any gators in the pond that’s in the backyard. We did see a good bit when we went out on the airboat that’s right next door. This time it was warm so we were able to see several baby gators plus some turtles and plenty of birds. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area. It’s a very peaceful place to relax and enjoy all the nature that surrounds the beautiful grounds.
